Bee Cave Library Bond Election

The City of Bee Cave is proposing a new library building to expand services to the community. The following information explains the proposal and the upcoming bond election which is on November 4, 2025. Early voting runs October 20-31. Bee Cave City Hall is a polling location. Voting takes place Mon-Sat 7am-7pm and Sun 12pm-6pm.

New Library Building – Key Features

  • Size: 18,500 square feet, one-story building
  • Spaces: Private study and work areas, multipurpose room, outdoor reading area, story time and imaginative play areas
  • Collection: Expanded space for books and other materials
  • Parking: Dedicated public parking
  • Location: City-owned land known as the Skaggs property, located on Bee Cave Parkway near Hill Country Indoor and across from the Ladera neighborhood

Library Bond Election – November 4, 2025

Bee Cave voters will decide on two ballot measures related to the proposed library:

Proposition A

  • Authorizes construction of a new library on city-owned land (Skaggs property) on Bee Cave Parkway.

Proposition B

  • Authorizes issuance of $19.98 million in general obligation bonds to fund the new building, site development, and parking.
  • If approved, the bond would result in a property tax increase of up to $0.0148 per $100 of valuation. For the average taxable home value in Bee Cave, this equals approximately $9.50 per month, or $114 per year.
